Space:

The E4 UdderBELLY is the newst addition to the Underbelly stable: a purpose-built venue inside an enormous upside-down purple cow. With national recognition due to Channel 4's adverts for the venue featuring Russell Brand, this is the most talked about and most photographed venue on the Fringe (just trying searching Flickr for "udderbelly"!)

Space:

Cow Barn is new to Underbelly, but not new to the Festival, having previously featured as the University music hall, Reid Hall. Underbelly has made the space smaller and more intimate by reducing the seating capacity and lowering the ceiling, making the venue suitable for everything from theatre and comedy to dance and music.

Space:

White Belly is our largest capacity space in the Main Underbelly, and mainly hosts comedy and theatre. It is also our oldest space being one of the original two spaces used in 2000. It has an arched ceiling and exposed brick walls for a truly unique atmosphere.

Space:

Wonderfully atmospheric, Iron Belly is a disused bank vault with arched ceiling and a site-specific feel. End-on partially raked seating and ideal for theatre and small-scale physical theatre. Along with White Belly, this was on of our two original spaces.

Space:

Intimate comedy venue with flat seating wrapped around a centre, semi circular shaped stage. Good access from the dressing room behind stage. Ideal for stand up, sketch comedy and cabaret. Funky lighting and an arched ceiling add to the fun and friendly atmosphere.

Space:

Delhi Belly is a small, end-on studio space with flat seating, wings and small backstage area which suits small-scale theatre productions and comedy/sketch shows. Intimate and exciting. A simple venue to act as a blank canvas for your imagination.

Space:

Deep in the heart of the Underbelly, the Belly Button is an intimate, end-on space with flat stage and fully raked seating. The stage provides wing space and small backstage space. Suitable for comedy, theatre and physical theatre.

Space:

Formed by the huge arches supporting George IV Bridge, the Big Belly is the largest and tallest venue in the Underbelly, although capacity is limited by fire regulations, With limited seats, it is easy to change the seating layout from end-on to semi-circular in the round, or even promenade. The space is suitable, therefore, for the most uncoventional of productions.

Space:

A music venue at night, an intimate, flexible theatre/comedy venue during the day. And with a large floor area and its own bar, its the host of some of the best and liveliest late night comedy shows on the Fringe.

Space:

End on with raised stage, stalls and balcony seating. Baby Belly 1 is an exciting performance space ideal for theatre, comedy and physical theatre. Because we programme late night music in this space the sound system is of a high specification, suitable for bands and DJs.

Space:

Baby Belly 2 is an atmospheric, end-on space with a flat stage. Housed in the underground cellars where plague victims once lived, it is one of the most haunted places in Edinburgh. Ideal for comedy and theatre that echoes the space. NOTE - despite earlier plans to re-site Baby Belly 2, this will now be the same room as Baby Belly 2 in 2006.

Space:

Intimate and cosy, Baby 3 is a simple small space ideal for theatre and comedy. Site specific in feel, it has one of the most thrilling entrances to any Fringe venue. It has a vaulted ceiling, end-on seating and a flat stage.
