Underbelly, Cowgate
Introduction
The Smirnoff Underbelly is our original venue on Cowgate where Underbelly has been located since it was founded in 2000. It has seven performance spaces (ranging in size from 50 to 150 seats) and four bars, one of which is inside the Belly Dancer performance space and another in an outside courtyard where smoking is allowed.
Underbelly also holds our press office and production office for all our venues.
How to get there
The venue is number 61. The main entrance is on Cowgate underneath George IV Bridge, but there is also be an entrance on Victoria Street. Maps and directions »
Wi-fi access
Smirnoff Underbelly is equipped with free wireless broadband access for any customers/performers with wi-fi-equipped laptops. This can be accessed in most public areas of the venue, including the Jelly Belly and Beer Belly bars.

Underbelly '05: The Movie
In 2005, we commissioned a short seven-minute film of the Underbelly venue highlighting what we do and featuring highlights from interviews with staff, punters, performers and celebrities such as Jenny Eclair, Stewart Lee and Ricky Gervais. Watch the film »
