Where exactly is the Baby Belly?
The Baby Belly is on Niddry Street South which is a small dead-end road off Cowgate. You will be able to recognise it because we will have a big arch at the entrance to the street, as we do at Underbelly. To reach it from Underbelly, go out of the main entrance, turn left into Cowgate, walk down Cowgate for two minutes and turn right into Niddry Street. Map and directions »
What is there at the Baby Belly?
There are three performances spaces, named, imaginatively, Baby Belly 1 to Baby Belly 3 with a wide selection of comedy, theatre and music. There is also a box office and a bar.
Do you have any good shows there?
Many of our best shows will be playing in Baby Belly as it offers a 150-seat venue in Baby Belly 1 which matches the largest space in Underbelly. See our 2007 Baby Belly programme. So this is most definitely NOT a second rank venue.
Can I buy tickets at Baby Belly?
Yes. We have a box office open all day at Baby Belly. You can buy tickets for all Underbelly/Baby Belly/E4 UdderBELLY's Pasture shows and also tickets for all shows at the Assembly Rooms, Pleasance and Gilded Balloon.
Can I get a drink at Baby Belly?
Yes. We have a bar there that will be open all day and into the night. Baby Belly has proved to be as popular as its big sister, Underbelly with a slightly more mellow atmosphere.
I've booked tickets for an Underbelly show - how do I know whether it is at Underbelly, Cowgate, Baby Belly or E4 UdderBELLY's Pasture?
The tickets should specify on them whether the show is at Underbelly, Cowgate, which is our original venue, or Underbelly's Baby Belly or E4 UdderBELLY's Pasture. If for some reason your ticket only includes the name of the performance space, then the Baby Belly spaces are called Baby Belly 1 to Baby Belly 3.
