Front of House Staff – London Summer Festivals 2022

Fixed Term Contract: Late April – Early August 2022

We are looking for front of house staff to work at our summer festivals in Cavendish Square and Earls Court, London.

Job Purpose

You’ll be working as part of our front of house team and reporting to our FOH Supervisors. Previous experience is not essential, but you must be a good communicator, extremely friendly and be able to stay calm in sometimes busy and difficult situations.

The front of house team are responsible for getting audiences to the right theatre, troubleshooting, making sure shows start on time, ushering and being friendly to all members of the public.

Front of house are the eyes and ears of the venue. They patrol all areas to make sure audiences are getting to where they need to be on time and ensure the venue is clean and running smoothly. As well as this, you are there to answer any questions that either public or performers may have. You should be friendly, confident, good with people and able to organise large numbers of people. 

You must have excellent customer service skills and be able to keep your cool under pressure. You should also have a keen interest in our programme and the shows we put on, whether it be comedy, theatre, circus or cabaret. We’re looking for people that enjoy working in small teams but are also confident, independent workers. You’ll enjoy talking about our shows and be happy upselling and recommending shows. Any previous experience in sales would be an advantage.

Terms

The rate of pay is £9.50/hr. Shifts vary from day to day. We are looking for staff who would like to work full-time and staff who would like to work part-time. You should be available to work for the entire period.
