JOB PURPOSE
Underbelly are looking for a draughtsperson to join our expanding production team. Reporting to the Production Director, and working across various departments, the draughtsperson will be responsible for providing technical drawing support for our festivals and events.
ROLE
Main Duties
- Drawing management for all of Underbelly’s CAD drawing requirements.
- Drawing site plans and elevations for build teams, planning and licensing applications.
- Drawing construction and fabrication plans for carpenters and other build crew.
- Working on in-house productions and working with visiting companies to ensure successful installation of third-party infrastructure.
- Version control of all drawings.
- Developing libraries for future use.
- Participate in the provision of a safe working environment.
Other Duties
- Attending regular company meetings.
- Contributing to the development of the organisation’s policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Excellent 2D and 3D AutoCAD knowledge.
- Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail.
- Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.
- Good communicator.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Adobe suite, in particular Photoshop.
- Background in theatre or events.
- Experience and understanding of the use of technical drawing in theatre.
